Closing the Value-Infrastructure Gap

My dissertation addresses a key gap in human–computer interaction (HCI) by examining how values are enacted in the day-to-day operations of organizations. Rather than focusing solely on the primary, visible sites of technology use, I attend to peripheral domains such as workplace wellness, technical support, and the patterned practices of adoption and resistance. As organizations transition from basic digital tools to more complex sociotechnical systems, the tension between their lived infrastructural realities and their core mission becomes increasingly pronounced.
